Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

It is well known that America is a very important market for the yacht industry.

However, looking after the US business personally has proved to be quite complicated in recent months.

Due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic, the American authorities drastically restricted visits from Europe.

Therefore, it was not clear for a long time whether and in which context BAVARIA AG would present itself at this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

“Due to the rather complex entry situation, the organisation was not quite easy,” says Sandra Ahrabian, CEO of BAVARIA AG. “But we have now been granted an exemption and can personally look after our customers and partners on site – just as they are used to from us.”

From the working group Deutsche Yachten, of which BAVARIA AG is also a member, carbon specialist Multiplex, Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven, lighting expert Yachtlite and Profiseal, manufacturer of complex seals, will also be there, sharing a space together in the so-called Superyacht Builders Tent (stand no. 724).

“It’s still a tentative take-up of the show in the US,” says Ahrabian. “However, I hope that next year we will be able to have a much larger presence on site.”

The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show runs from 27 to 31 October and is open from 10:00 to 19:00 on all days. Exceptions are the first day (from 12:00) and the last day (until 18:00).
