Customer of BAVARIA AG loses his catamaran in a marina fire. The damage was compensated in the shortest possible time.
In a fire in the Marina Gouvia on Corfu, the catamaran of a BAVARIA customer was also badly affected – the Lagoon 560 burned out completely and is considered a total loss. The fire is said to have started in September at around 4 a.m. local time, shortly after which there was talk of three GRP yachts sinking and a wooden yacht built in 1929 still burning.
An eyewitness reported a small fire on a motor yacht that spread to the starboard side and from there to the next berth, a motor catamaran, then to the said Lagoon 560 and then to the classic ketch. The cause of the fire on the vessel is still unknown. No one was aboard the yachts, and no injuries were reported.
Meanwhile, the BAVARIA customer, whose damage amounts to 1.5 million euros, was able to deal quite quickly with the purchase of a replacement yacht. The sum was paid out within a few weeks thanks to the very speedy and expert handling of the BAVARIA claims specialists.
